Monthly digest: April

Traditionally, in April, senior students of the Faculty of World Politics at the Institute for the USA and Canadian studies of the RAS went to the University of Maryland, USA . During the trip, they met Russian-American relations, international security and nuclear disarmament experts, discussed international agenda with students of the University of Maryland, and worked on a joint project.

On April 16, students of the Faculty of World Politics and the French section of the Department of Roman-Germanic Languages participated in a poetic event dedicated to the Quebec poet Emile Nelligan. The event was timed to the festival of the Francophonie French language. 30 students of the faculty declamed poems in French and English.

An international seminar «Transcendental Turn in Modern Philosophy  4: Transcendental Metaphysics, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science, Theology and Philosophy of Consciousness» was held on April 18-20 in Moscow. The main question of scientific discussion was «Does transcendental philosophy (transcendental idealism) equals to idealism?».

Three sections of the seminar were held at the Faculty of Philosophy of the GAUGN. Students of the Faculty of Philosophy also made presentations along with well-known researchers.

On April 23, the Law Faculty of the GAUGN held an internal university conference for students called «Actual problems of civil law».

Traditionally, in April, at the «Library Night», first-year students of the Faculty of Sociology of GAUGN conducted a public poll in real-life conditions for the first time, mastering their first professional skills.
